Car meets offer a great opportunity for car enthusiasts to come together and share their passion for cars. These are often held in various locations such as parking lots, race tracks, and rugby fields, where they provide the perfect platform for enthusiasts to showcase their custom cars, modified vehicles, or classic restored models. Car meets can range from small friendly gatherings with a few types of cars to large, all-inclusive events featuring a wide variety of vehicles ranging from classic cars to high-performance sports cars. These events also provide opportunities for vendors to sell car-related products and services.
Traditionally we host large scale evening parking lot car meets that’s all inclusive of all car brands, modification levels and walks of life. We also welcome our fellow bikers that enjoy the atmosphere of our meets. Whilst the typical parking lot meet is our most frequent event style we also have pride in hosting: Night Runs; Track Events and Sunrise Runs of which we were the first settings the trends of these events on a large scale. We aim to have our meets as a family friendly zone where the next generation of car enthusiasts will birth their passion.
AFTER//HRS was started in 2017 after a lighthearted comment on Facebook was turned into reality.
As University students drawing on influence from the international car scene, it was decided to host the very first event in March 2017. By word of mouth and putting flyers on the cool cars in the University parking lot (yes, we did that), our first meet had an attendance of 40 cars.
A few months later we decided to do it again… and we were surprised when close to 200 cars attended. That’s when we knew we had something special and the rest is history!
